Jeffrey Melvin Judy, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 31, 2025, at Teton Healthcare of Cascadia.
Jeff was born May 31, 1948, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to John Melvin Judy and Janice Marie Christensen Judy. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School where he enjoyed band and attending football and basketball games. After graduating, he attended Ricks College, now BYU-Idaho, in Rexburg.
In 1978, he met the love of his life, Beatrice June Fell, while performing in a play together. They were married on December 15, 1978, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were blessed with one child, Jonie Marie Judy.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for whom he served a full-time mission in Virginia. He had many callings in the church, one of his favorites being a nursery leader in Sunday School with his wife, June.
Jeffrey was cherished for his sense of humor and storytelling. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and attending basketball games, especially games for his nephews and grandsons. He was very supportive of his grandkids and rarely missed a game or a play for his granddaughter. He loved spending time with family and especially cherished the time he spent with his grandkids. Jeff made friends everywhere he went.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Beatrice Judy of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Jonie (Joshua) Baily of Idaho Falls, ID; and 6 grandchildren, Skylee Blue Barg, Keyon Sage Barg, Xielyr Gray Barg, Traigyn Azure Bird, Nikyiah Pearl Baily, and Aivyana Rose Baily; 1 great granddaughter, Novalyn Jade Barg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws; and many nephews and nieces, all of whom he cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jeanine Marie Lee and Joann Maureen Anderson; brother, John Maurice Judy; sisters-in-law; and brothers-in-law.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, with Brother Tyler Borg officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
