Jeanette "Jeanne" Elmyra Sand, 73, passed away at Idaho Falls, Idaho on September 6, 2013, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.
Jeanne was born in Bassano, Alberta, Canada, March 14, 1940. She graduated from Shelby High School in 1959 and went on to work as a long-time owner and operator of the Corner Beauty Shop in Shelby, Montana. When her family moved to Brownsville, Oregon, she became employed as a receptionist for Chintimini Forest Products in Tangent, Oregon.
Jeanne was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served in many callings. Her greatest joy was sharing her amazing musical talent on the piano and organ. She was truly blessed with a tremendous "ear" for music and the ability to perform almost any style requested.
Upon her husband's retirement from Hewlett Packard, she and Ralph enjoyed spending winters in the Benson / St. David, Arizona area. They summered at their cabin near Glacier Park, Montana, and the spring and fall were spent at "home" in Idaho Falls.
Jeanne is lovingly remembered by her son, Kurt Edward (Sherri) Sand of Afton, WY; daughter, Staci Jeanne (Charles) Talbott of Missoula, MT. Her grandchildren: Devin Sand, Lindsey Sand, Travis Talbott, Casey Talbott, Kodi Talbott, and Cameron Talbott. Her siblings: Darleen Wright, Ladene Campbell, Jerry Lybbert, Dan Lybbert, and John Lybbert.
Jeanne is predeceased by her parents, Carl Weston Lybbert and Mae Ulilla Ogden Lybbert, and elder brother, Carl Weston Lybbert. Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Ralph Edward Sand. They were married in Rexburg, Idaho, February 5, 1966.
