Jeanette Kinghorn Mathews, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 23, 2012 at her home.
She was born May 12, 1939 in Pocatello, Idaho to Dean Morton Kinghorn and Lela Stallings Kinghorn. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1957. She attended Idaho State University and received her Associate’s Degree.
Jeanette married Norman Lawson on December 26, 1959 and together they had 5 children. They were later divorced.
She married Boyd Mathews on June 2, 1989 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple . He passed away January 8, 2011.
She was a homemaker and a mother and worked as a hair dresser. Jeanette also worked at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Jeanette enjoyed arts and crafts and oil painting, making quilts and scrap booking. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Son, Bruce (Kim) Mathews of Idaho Falls, ID;
Daughter, Beverly (Kenneth) Whetstone of West Valley, UT;
Brother, Gary Kinghorn of Post Falls, ID;
Brother, David Kinghorn of Forrestville, CA;
Twin Sister, Jean O Brien Campbell of Idaho Falls, ID;
Sister, Janie Wilcox of Pocatello, ID;
Sister, Marilynn Davis of Pocatello, ID;
38 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents Dean and Lela Kinghorn, sister, Kay Koontz and her husband Boyd Mathews, and her great granddaughter Gracie May Homer.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Boulevard LDS Ward Chapel (351 W. 14th Street) The family will visit with friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge Ave.) and from 11-11:45 pm prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery.
