Jean Munsee Middleton passed away January 10, 2017, in Boise, Idaho. She was born July 11,1929, in Havre, Montana, and spent her early years on a dairy farm in Harlem, Montana.

The family moved to Idaho Falls when Jean was in high school and she graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

Jean met Val D. Middleton while attending Idaho State College in Pocatello. They married in October of 1949 and were married for 55 years.

Jean worked for First Security Bank for many years, retiring as manager of the Eastside branch in Idaho Falls. She went on to obtain her real estate license and also worked at American Land Title Co. in Idaho Falls.

Jean's real passion, however, was collecting antiques. She was known for her collection of beautiful pieces of furniture, glassware, and pottery. She also had a fine collection of western art.

She was active in the First Presbyterian Church in Idaho Falls until her move to Boise in 2012.

She is survived by three children. Kaye Middleton (Eric Johnson) Ridgway, Colorado, Jeff Middleton, of Boise and Carol Middleton, of Boise; and one granddaughter, Mollie Middleton (Matt Tarbet), of Seattle, Washington.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Val, in 2005; son, James, in infancy daughter-in-law, Jeanette Low; parents; two sisters and one brother.

Donations in Jean's name will be gratefully accepted by The American Diabetes Foundation and the Alzheimer's Association.

Memorial services will held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church, 325 Elm Street. The family will visit with friends beginning at 10 a.m. prior to the services.
