Jaycee Jade Barney

Jaycee Jade Barney, two, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 10, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Jaycee was born September 14, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Scott Michael Barney and Hannah Elizabeth Barney.

She was a member of record of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jaycee loved life – everyone and everything. She is so strong and resilient. She has a contagious laugh and a great sense of humor. Jaycee loves playing with her brother and sister. She loves showing her pretty hair and clothes to her Daddy. She loves to cook and clean with her Mommy. She had Dravet Syndrome and faced many health challenges, but no matter what, she always says, “Jesus loves!”

Jaycee is survived by her parents, Scott and Hannah Barney of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Samuel Barney; sister, Elizabeth Barney; maternal grandparents, Jason and Ashley Yarrington; and paternal grandparents, Scott and Esther Barney.

She was preceded in death by her great grandfathers, Roy B Faught and Larry Dwayne Bazzell, and her aunt, Makena Ann Yarrington.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Idaho Falls 28th Ward, 2025 Jennie Lee Drive, with Bishop Jason Yarrington officiating. The family will visit with friends and have a life history display on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
