Jay Emmerson

Jay Arthur Emmerson, 60 of Idaho Falls passed away March 16, 2014 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from natural causes. Jay was born March 1, 1954 in Bellingham, WA to Jack Arthur Emmerson and Fay Stubbs Emmerson. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. Jay graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1973. He has been under the care of Denyse Versey for the last seven years in her certified Family Home. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jay was associated with the Developmental Workshop Inc. for most of his life and was loved by his many friends. Jay is survived by his brother, John Alan Emmerson of Blackfoot, ID; Nephew, Jeremiah Emmerson of Blackfoot, ID; and his caretaker, Denyse Versey and her family of Idaho Falls, ID. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jerry Lee Emmerson and a sister, Patricia Louise Emmerson. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014 at Fielding Memorial Park.
