VISTA, CA -- Jarom Lee Cook, 22, of Vista, California, died March 1, 2002 at Oceanside, California of an aneurysm. He was born April 11, 1979, at Los Alamitos, California, to William Kraft Cook and Julie Beth Ritchie Cook. He attended Butterfield Elementary. At the age of 9, his family moved to Moreno Valley, California. They later moved to Idaho Falls, where he attended Iona Elementary, Rocky Mountain Middle School, Bonneville High School, and Fairview Alternative High School. Following graduation, he joined the U. S. Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California, at the time of his death. He was a member of a local ballroom dance team and received numerous awards for his outstanding performances. Survivors include: Mother: Julie Cook, Idaho Falls, ID Father: William "Bill" Cook, Vancouver, WA Brother: Jacob Cook, Iona, ID Sister: Jessica Cook, Ammon, ID Grandparents: J. D. & Elaine Ritchie, Idaho Falls, ID Grandmother: Delvean Cook, Hemet, CA Funeral Services were held in Moreno Valley, California, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Local Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2002, at the Iona City Building, 3548 North Main Street, Iona.
