Jared H. Nelson, 38, of Idaho Falls, passed away at his home on Friday, November 29th, 2013.
Jared was born, May 30, 1975 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Dennis and Laralee Hall Nelson. He had one older brother, Kirk D. Nelson.
Jared received his schooling in the Madison County School District in Rexburg, Idaho. He graduated in 1993 from Madison High School. He continued his higher education at Idaho State University, where he achieved a certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Technology.
Growing up, Jared had an inseparable friendship with Jared Jensen. The two enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, especially in Island Park.
On August 3,1996, Jared married Jamie Dawn Clark in St. Anthony, Idaho. Together they had three beautiful children, Alyssa Jayde, Sydney Louise and Maxwell James. Jamie preceded him in death.
Jared was always happiest when he was working. He spent most of his adult life working as a mechanic on historic airplanes and aerial firefighting aircraft. He would often tell many stories to his son about his airplanes and the pictures he had collected. Outside of work, Jared enjoyed taking day trips on his motorcycle and being in the outdoors fishing or hunting. He also looked forward to wintertime when he could spend time with his two precious daughters on a ski hill.
Jared is survived by his
daughter, Alyssa Nelson, of Idaho Falls;
daughter, Sydney Nelson, of Idaho Falls;
son, Maxwell Nelson, of Idaho Falls;
parents, Dennis and Laralee Nelson, of Burton, Idaho;
brother, Kirk (Sandra) Nelson, of St. Anthony, Idaho;
grandmother, Dorma Nelson, of Teton, Idaho;
parents-in-law, Terri and Rick Clark of Idaho Falls.
Jared was preceded in death by his wife, Jamie Dawn Clark Nelson, grandfather Max Nelson, and grandparents Lamont & Ruth Hall.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at the Ammon Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery.
