Janis Briggs

JANIS BRIGGS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Janis Ellsworth Briggs, 66, of Idaho Falls, died September 15, 2007, at her home. She was born December 3, 1940, at Plano, Idaho, to Robert Ellsworth and Laura Adell Perrenoud Ellsworth. She grew up and attended schools in the area, including Madison High School. Her senior year, she moved to Jackson, Wyoming, and graduated from Teton High School. On December 22, 1959, she married Gary D. Briggs in Thornton, Idaho. They also lived in Archer; Tremonton, Utah; Brigham City, Utaj; Silverthorne, Colorado; Temecula, California; and in 1993, moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was a mother and homemaker. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, puzzles and spending time with her family. Survivors include: Daughter: Debra K. (Steve) Woolf, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Barbara (Bruce) Schlenz, Dillon, CO Son: Gary Lynn Briggs, Phoenix, AZ Son: Michael D. Briggs, Greeley, CO Sister: Lois (Harold) Wartluft Brother: Robert (Annette) Ellsworth Brother: Albert (Sandy) Ellsworth 4 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at Archer-Sutton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N.
