Janice Mae Kramer Rowe, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 29, 2014, at the home of her daughter. She was born April 17, 1936, in Council, Idaho to Joseph Victor Kitchen Kramer and Lura Reffner Kramer. The family moved to California where she attended Wintergardens Elementary in E. Los Angeles, and Eastmont Junior High & Montebello High School in Montebello. On January 25, 1952, she married Philip Laverne Rowe in Quartzite, Arizona. Philip preceded her in death on September 17, 1964. She was a mother and homemaker and also worked at Bank of America for 32 years. In 2011, she moved to Idaho Falls to be near her daughter. Janice was a member of the Baptist Church and later attended Calvary Chapel in Idaho Falls. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, knitting, reading, crossword puzzles, playing the guitar, and playing Freecell and Solitaire on the internet. She loved animals and always had a dog or cat. Janice had a very good sense of humor, was a kind and loving person, and helped her friends and family in any way she could. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Strack of Idaho Falls, ID; two sons, Daniel Philip Rowe of Fontana, CA and Philip Andrew Rowe of Pomona, CA; a brother, James Kramer of Oakland, CA; three sisters, Martha Nevarez of Pico Rivera, CA, Lois Harvey of Whittier, CA, and Marilyn Figueroa of Fontana, CA; and 3 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and 3 brothers, Edward Kramer, Charles Kramer, and Robert Kramer. Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
