Janice Faye Bisbee Litteneker, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away on June 28, 2016, at her home.
She was born August 4, 1938, in Mason City, Iowa, to Floyd Bisbee and Gladys Kiser Bisbee. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Mason City High School. She then attended Grinell College in Grinell, Iowa.
She married Robert Girton on June 22, 1957, in Mason City, Iowa. To this union were born two children, Jeffrey and Cynthia. Janice and Robert were later divorced. On July 23, 1983, she married Paul E. Litteneker in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She worked as librarian for School District #91. She volunteered as a docent at the Idaho Falls Zoo and was a member of PEO Chapter BI.
Janice attended the First Presbyterian Church and was a session member. She enjoyed golf, bowling and traveled all over the world.
Survivors are: Son: Jeffrey (Lori) Girton of Rigby, ID Daughter: Cynthia (Jim) Schweitzer of Coeur d’Alene, ID Stepson: Edwin (Debbie) Litteneker of Lewiston, ID Stepson: Randy (Rebecca) Litteneker of Piedmont, CA Stepdaughter: Cathy Litteneker (Randy Dixon) of Pocatello, ID 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; a brother, Jean; and a sister, Joyce.
She will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016, at Janice’s home.
