Janet Kae Scott

Janet Kae Scott, 77, of Shelley, passed away April 22, 2024, at her home following a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Janet was born December 17, 1946, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Lynn Seely Cole and Juanita Strickland Cole. She grew up and attended schools and graduated in Hutchison. Janet worked many years as a waitress.

Janet was an avid football spectator and enjoyed watching whenever she could, whether it be watching college level, professional, or her own grandchildren on the field. She was very creative and enjoyed oil painting and ceramics. She also loved shooting pool and trivia.

Janet is survived by her children, Andrea (David) Gilstrap, of Shelley, ID, Randy (Terri) Scott of Idaho Falls, ID, Valerie (Terry) Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID, and Jeannie Scott of Idaho Falls, ID; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her great grandson, Rowen Gilstrap; her son, Anthony Scott; sisters, Rolita, Diane, and Robin; and her parents.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
