Janet Ramer - 06/07/2002 Janet Ramer - 06/07/2002 JANET MARY ANNE MYERS RAMER IDAHO FALLS, ID: Janet was born in Ft Benton, MT on June 21, 1957 to Horace and Mary Myers. She grew up on a farm near Geraldine, MT. She loved playing with her brother Tom and with her many dogs and cats. She particularly loved riding horses. She was very active in high school drama and Pep Club. She graduated from Geraldine High School in 1975. She attended Carroll College in Helena Montana and then in 1977 attended Montana Sate University in Bozeman, MT where she obtained a degree in microbiology in 1979. During the summer of 1976 she met Ron Ramer, they fell in love and were married on June 16, 1978. In August of 1979 they moved to Idaho Falls, ID. On April 1, 1980, she gave birth to her loving daughter Rachel. On January 18, 1983, she had a wonderful son named Jason. In addition to being a loving Mother, she was active in stained glass crafting and enjoyed skiing. Janet was active in her children’s school where she was President of the PTA. She was very active in her family’s activities: sewing clothes, planing trips, and supporting their hobbies and activities. She was an active Running, Skating, and Hockey Mom. This led her to being a big hockey fan. She loved watching her kids participate in all of their activities: hockey, running, band, skating, etc. She would spend many hours just talking to her children: helping them solve problems, grow, and mature. She became an excellent photographer winning several awards and photographing many local teams, clubs, and families. She also loved taking care of children. She started working as a Day Care Employee at the YMCA and then at Melaleuca. She always said “No matter what happens at work. I have to make sure the kid’s welfare is my main priority.” This column is too short to adequately describe how truly wonderful Jan was. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2002 at Wood Funeral Home. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Fielding Memorial Park.
