Jane Whitmill

JANE WHITMILL IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Jane Ashliman Whitmill, 79, of Idaho Falls, died November 7, 2005, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born August 31, 1926, in Logan, Utah, to John Ralph Ashliman and Lena Gilgen Ashliman. At the age of four, the family moved to Idaho Falls where she attended schools and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. On November 30, 1946, she married Farrell LeRoy Whitmill in American Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on October 29, 1986. She was a mother and homemaker and also worked as a telephone operator at Mountain Bell Telephone and as a seamstress for White Star Laundry and City Cleaners. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings including Counselor in the Relief Society Presidency. She also served in the temple for several years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, reading and crocheting. Survivors are: Daughter: Mayna (Evan) Garner, Shelley, ID Son: Devon (Faye) Whitmill, Ucon, ID Brother: Ralph Ernest Ashliman, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Laree Quinn, Idaho Falls, ID 5 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Ivan Ashliman and four sisters, Mildred Salverson, Ruth Pickett, Ila Mae Rogers, and Grace Cawley. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2005, at the Idaho Falls LDS 8th Ward, 2051 South Emerson, with Bishop Brad Doman officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
