Jane Ellen Wilsey Hunter, 89, of Idaho Falls, was reunited with her sweetheart on June 7, 2016. Jane was born October 19, 1926, in Albany, New York, to John Ellis Wilsey and Marion Witter Fares Wilsey. She grew up and attended schools in Albany and graduated from Albany High School. On September 12, 1947, she married Kenneth Rice Hunter in Albany, New York. To this union were born three sons, Kenneth, Geoffrey, and Eric. Jane and Kenneth made their home in Albany where Jane worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. They moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, for nine years, then Latham, New York, before settling in Idaho Falls for the past 36 years. She also drove for Avis Car Rental and worked as office staff. Kenneth preceded her in death on August 21, 2012. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed bowling and was secretary for various bowling leagues. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, and genealogy research at the LDS Family History Center, and served as a family history missionary there. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice at Lily & Syringa Assisted Living Center. Jane is survived by her son, Kenneth Ronald (Sandy) Hunter of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Geoffrey B. (Meghan) Hunter of Orlando, FL; son, Eric J. (Karen) Hunter of Harrisburg, PA; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Rice Hunter, father, John Ellis Wilsey, mother, Marion Witter Wilsey, and sister, Winifred Wilsey Mills. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2016, at Iona Cemetery The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
