JAMES L. WILLIAMS
James Lawrence “Jimmy” Williams, 82, of Idaho Falls, died August 27, 2001, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes.
He was born September 30, 1918, at Hugart, West Virginia, to Freddie Spicer Williams and Ida Myrtle Crookshanks Williams. He grew up and attended schools in West Virginia.
He married Hazel Arlene Moore March 16, 1940, at Natural Bridge, Virginia. They made their home in Buena Vista, Virginia, where he worked at James Lee's Carpet Factory for 35 years. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on July 6, 1956. They moved to Idaho Falls 28 years ago. He worked as a master carpenter for School District #91 for 10 years.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as Branch President in Buena Vista and on the District Council. He was a faithful home teacher and served in the High Priest Group Leadership and in Family History. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and traveling to visit family and friends.

Stevens, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter-In-Law: Rebecca Johnson Williams, Montpelier, ID 21 Grandchildren & 17 Great GrandchildrenHe was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Darryl C. Williams, two brothers, and four sisters.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2001, at the Idaho Falls LDS 9th Ward, 395 - 2nd Street, with Bishop Larry Campbell officiating.
The family will visit with friends from 11 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the church.
