JAMES H. TAUBMAN IDAHO FALLS, ID -- James Henry Taubman, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 13, 2007, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls following a long-term illness. Jim was born February 17, 1934, in Oak Park, Illinois, to Henry Olaf Taubman and Adeline DeCoste Taubman. He grew up and attended schools in River Grove, Illinois, then graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Forestry and the University of California-Redlands with a business degree. Jim served his country in the U. S. Navy as a radioman from 1954 to 1958. He married Eileen Rose Gray August 18, 1958, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. They lived in Moscow, Idaho, while he was attending the University of Idaho, and later in Washington, Oregon, and North Dakota, He worked as a forester with the U. S. Forest Service. He lived in Oxnard, California, for 20 years and worked as a Systems Analyst with Advanced Technology. They moved to Idaho Falls seven years ago to be near their family, especially their granddaughter, Cassandra, who was the light of his life. Eileen passed away May 7, 2005. Jim was a member of the Idaho Falls Catholic community and the Knights of Columbus #71841 through Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed photography, camping, trains, travel, and astronomy. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth, son-in-law, John Painter, and granddaughter, Cassandra L. Painter, all of Idaho Falls, and a sister, Elaine Taubman Gottman of Sun City, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Eileen. Private family services will be held. ------------------------------
