James Lee Tabor, 59, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 20, 2025, at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice.

James was born January 20, 1966, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Robert Lee Tabor and Colleen Clary Tabor. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School. After high school, he joined the Marine Corps.

On October 15, 1994, he made, what he called, the best decision of his life and married his true love and best friend, Susan Marie Wilkins in Las Vegas, Nevada. James and Susan made their home in Idaho Falls where James was a salesman for Western States Equipment.

He was co-founder of the Hobby of the Month Club. He enjoyed fishing, camping, barbecuing for family and friends, being with his boys, playing with his dogs, and he loved to read.

James is survived by his wife, Susan Marie Tabor of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, Colleen Tabor of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Shelby (Alisha) Tabor of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Chase (Nina) Tabor of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Theresa Tabor of Idaho Falls, ID; sister-in-law, Lisa Hansen of Rigby, ID; mother-in-law, Ruth Stephenson of Rigby, ID; and father-in-law, Bob (Deanne) Wilkins of Idaho Falls, ID; and his dog, Bridger.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Tabor.

A gathering will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.

After James’s long battle with AML, the family is requesting donations be sent to The Hope Lodge in Salt Lake City - American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Please use the following link to donate directly.
