James Leland Strom

James Leland Strom, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 15, 2024, at his home. He was under the care of Enhabit Hospice and his family.

James was born March 23, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Sanford Ellis Strom and Alta Josephine Billman Strom. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

On July 25, 1963, he married Marilyn Eames in Idaho Falls, Idaho. James and Marilyn made their home in Idaho Falls, where James worked as a grocery store manager for many years.

He was a member of the Catholic Church.  He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, his dogs, his grandchildren, and he always had a "Honey Do List" and would do anything for Marilyn.

James is survived by his daughter, Hallie Ann (Laurent) Brown of Idaho Falls, ID; son, James Sanford (Jane) Strom of Round Hill, VA; daughter, Kristie Lin (Michael) Rodriquez of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Teri Kae Beck of Idaho Falls, ID; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn E. Strom; sisters, Frances Ashcroft, Margaret Beck, and Bee Strom; and brothers, Lester Green, and Lee Strom.

Graveside services will be held at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
