JIM SCOTT IRWIN, ID -- James Elmer “Jim” Scott, 73, of Irwin, died September 5, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born May 5, 1930, at Seattle, Washington, to Elmer Lloyd Scott and Zella Kathleen Dow Scott. He grew up in the Seattle area and attended Franklin High School, then received Vo-Tech training as a firefighter. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Joanne Marie Andersen December 22, 1994, in Reno, Nevada. He was a fireman with District 2, Local 1461 in Burien, Washington, and retired as Assistant Fire Chief in 1982. After his retirement he had his own arson investigation company. He was a member of the Masons and the Shriners, the National Rifle Association, and the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, guns, traveling, motorcycle riding, boating, and golf. Surviving are: Wife: Joanne Scott, Irwin, ID Daughter: Virginia Leigharnt Scott, Johnson City, TX Son: Timothy Scott, Seattle, WA Daughter: Jay Scott, Sacramento, CA Daughter: Kathy Kinney, Des Moines, WA Son: Robert Scott, Sonoma, CA Stepson: Jack Radford III, Seattle, WA Stepson: Greg Radford, Woodland, CA Stepdaughter: Andrea Ziegler, Longview, WA Stepson: Christopher Radford, Burien, WA Brother: Leonard Scott, Tacoma, WA Sister: Donna Lee [Walter] DeRoun, Lake Retreat, WA Sister: Sylvia Trudeau, Des Moines, WA and 17 Grandchildren Private Family Services were held. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
