JAMES L. SCHWABEDISSEN
SALT LAKE CITY, UT - James Louis Schwabedissen, 74, formerly
of Idaho Falls, died September 13, 2003, at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake
City where he had been admitted for routine tests.
He was born April 2, 1929 in Idaho Falls to Jessie Burbidge
Schwabedissen and Louis August Schwabedissen. He grew up in Idaho Falls
on a dairy farm which was later turned into a chicken farm.
He joined the Idaho National Guard and was dispatched in
1951 to serve in the Korean War with the 116th Engineer Battalion as a heavy
duty truck driver.
In 1977, he married Virginia Christianson in Las Vegas,
Nevada. They were later divorced. He had a variety of occupations in his
life. His main vocation was a truck driver.
He lived all his life in Idaho Falls until he needed assisted
care. In July of 2001, he moved to Salt Lake City. From January 24, 2002
until the time of his death, he lived at the Golden Living Center in Salt
Lake.

Brother: Richard (Betty L.) Schwabedissen, Salt Lake City, UT
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 infant brother.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September
19, 2003, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge).
The family will meet with friends on Thursday from 7-8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military rites will
be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
