IDAHO FALLS, ID -- James Edward Rardin, 57, of Basalt, died April 7, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 2, 1950, in Fruit, Colorado, to Angus Burtin Rardin and Hanna Louella Kelly. He attended grade school in Colorado and then moved with his family to Idaho Falls, where he attended Clair E. Gale Junior High, Firth High School, and Bonneville High School.
On May 7, 1971, he married Stella Marie Thornley in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He worked at Old Faithful Beverage, GPOD, and for Doug Andrus Trucking.
He enjoyed racing and working on cars, riding sand rails, and camping. James loved spending time with his family and had a special relationship with his two grandchildren, Keisha and Kyra.

Wife: Stella Rardin, Basalt, ID
Son: Jason A. (Kimberly) Rardin, Basalt, ID
Son: Steven B. (Lynn) Rardin, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Fred Rardin, Arizona
2 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Angus, Jr.; and a sister, Myrtle Lange.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the Firth LDS Stake Center, 823 North 675 East, Basalt, with Bishop Samuel Walker of the Basalt Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Basalt Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.

Stella, Jason and Steven, I always got a big kick out of my visits with James when you guys used to come in for haircuts. Very nice video. You're in my prayers.
