James Albert Lane III, 47, of Idaho Falls, died June 28, 2012, at his home.
He was born September 27, 1964, at Tripler Army Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii, to James A. Lane, Jr. and Janice Shuey Lane.
He grew up in Southern California and went to Sunnymead High School. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Germany.
He married Petra Remsperger in Costa Mesa, California, and they later divorced. They had four children, Daniel, Natascha, Kevin, and Elizabeth. He had a son, Kennedy, with Jenny. He married Kira Giambra in Las Vegas, Nevada, and they were later divorced. They had two children, Haiden and Kilohn. James worked in construction, operating heavy equipment. His interests included cooking, camping, fishing, and collecting antique bottles and cans.
He is survived by his children, Daniel of Pocatello, Natascha, Kevin, and Elisabeth, all of Boise, Kennedy of Soda Springs, Haiden and Kilohn, both of Rigby, two sisters, Kimberly of Texas, and Kelly of California, his father, James (Dorren Potts) of Soda Springs, and mother, Janice (Michael) Knobbe of Orange, CA.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the Iona LDS Stake Center 7555 North 55th East, with Bishop Byard Cox of the Iona Second Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from Noon to 12:45 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery with Military Rites by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
The family is accepting donations in lieu of flowers at Advantage Plus Credit Union under the name Kevin Lane (Savings Account).
