James Harvey Jacks

James Harvey “JJ” Jacks, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 2, 2023, at his home. JJ was born March 1, 1944, in Stockton, California, to James Milton Jacks and Josephine Ulm Jacks. He grew up and attended schools in Stockton and attended high school in Stockton and San Diego. On March 16, 1984, he married Diana Gwyn Essley in Lake Tahoe, California. JJ and Diana made their home in Grass Valley, California, where JJ worked as a transport driver and shop steward for Rainbo and Oroweat Baking Company. After retiring from the trucking industry, JJ and Diana made Idaho Falls, Idaho, their forever home. He was a member of the Catholic Church in Sacramento.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends from the bakeries. JJ is survived by his loving wife, Diana Jacks of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Roxanne M. Jacks of Willard, MO; son, Nick (Tracy) Jacks of Sweethome, OR; Diana's son, Jimmy Bays of Idaho Falls, ID; and sons, Bud Jacks and Spencer Jacks, both of Stockton, CA; nine grandchildren, including Brandi Jacks of Aurora, CO; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna M Jacks-Sizquela, son, Douglas Jacks and his parents.
