JAMES HOLST III
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- James Nyles Holst III, 56, of Idaho Falls, died December 21, 2008, at his home.
He was born June 16, 1952 in Idaho Falls, to James Edgar Holst and Arvilla Orlene Scott Holst. He attended Ucon Elementary and Ammon Jr. High, graduating from Bonneville High School. He attended Ricks College in Rexburg and Dixie College in St. George, Utah. He served as a Private 2nd Class in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He married Jeanette Louise Burke on May 23, 1981 in Iona, Idaho. They were later divorced. He owned Holst Family Farms.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed reading, marksmanship, the study of history, and loved his cats, Sammy and Weiner.

Daughter: Nancy Margaret Holst (Gerald R. Jr.) Miller, Salt Lake City, UT
Son: Emory Floyd (Elisabeth Dianne Lerdahl) Holst, Salt Lake City, UT
Brother: Jon Scott Holst, Ucon, ID
Ex-Wife: Jeanette Louise Burke Holst, Salt Lake City, UT
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
