James Lamont Gardner

James Lamont Gardner, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 9, 2023, at his home.

James was born August 15, 1944, in Montpelier, Idaho, to Ferrell Kenneth Gardner and Betty Ann Baird Gardner. He grew up and attended schools in Montpelier.

He married Barbara Guzman. They were later divorced. James worked for the City of Pocatello in the Parks and Recreation Department.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

James is survived by his daughter, Tina (Montie Joe) Brown of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Terry Lamont (Laura) Gardner of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Ted Ray (Teresa) Gardner of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Ana (Gordon) Nickelos of Salt Lake City, UT; brother, Kenneth F. (Sun) Gardner of Salt Lake City, UT; 6 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferrell and Betty Gardner; and his daughter, Dee Deeann Gardner.

Services will be held at a later date.
