JAMES R. BARRIE
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- James Ritchie “Jim” Barrie, 86, of Idaho Falls, died November 13, 2002, at the Idaho Falls Care Center.
He was born February 24, 1916 at Ucon to Archie Barrie and Esther Ritchie Barrie. He grew up in the area and attended schools in Milo.
He married Evelyn Davenport on October 31, 1939 in St. Anthony, Idaho. He was a farmer and also worked at the sugar factory. He was later a bus driver for Bonneville District #93, a truck driver for Bonneville Road and Bridge, and prior to his retirement, he worked as a boiler operator for Rogers Brothers Potato.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed camping, old tractors, and rides in the country.

Barrie, Idaho Falls, IDBrother: Andrew (Elva) Barrie, Idaho Falls, IDSister: Mary (Francis) Sievers, Pocatello, ID23 Grandchildren, 46 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Barrie.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2002, at the Ucon LDS 2nd Ward (10854 North 41st East), with Bishop Tim Solomon officiating. The family will meet with friends on Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon) and for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
