Jacob Martin

Jacob Mikal Martin, 25, of Ammon, passed away December 23, 2016, at his home. Jake was born December 8, 1991, in Ogden, Utah, to Mikal James Martin and Machelle Stephanie Clark Martin. Jake had a passion for life. He enjoyed all living creatures, especially lizards. He also found great joy and companionship with his dog, Reilly. As a young child Jake lived un Utah, Missouri, and finally Idaho. Jake attended South Fremont High School in St. Anthony. He liked skiing and riding dirt bikes. He had a fun loving personality and an infectious laugh. Jake treasured the times he could play with is nephews, Ted and Billy. Jake was close to his mother and missed her greatly after her passing. Jake and his father developed a special bond. He will be sorely missed by both family and friends, alike. He is survived by his father, Mikal Martin, brother, Tyler Platts, sister, Elizabeth (Milton) Beasley and two nephews, Ted and Billy Beasley.

Jake was preceded in death by his mother, Machelle Platts, and his grandparents, Larry Clark, and Merrill and Carol Martin. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior, both visitations at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
