JACOB THAYNE HOWE
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Jacob Thayne Howe, 15, of Idaho Falls, died September 27, 2001, at his home.
He was born November 14, 1985 at Idaho Falls, to John Thayne Howe, Jr. and Robin K. Rhodehouse Howe. He attended Tiebreaker Elementary, Falls Valley Elementary, Linden Park Elementary, Clair E. Gale Junior High, and Idaho Falls High School. He worked as a custodian for East Idaho Credit Union and also mowed lawns.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He was working on his Eagle Scout Award. He enjoyed playing Nintendo, skiing, dirt biking, playing baseball, snowmobiling, and especially spending time with his family. The family dog, Mitzi, was Jacob’s focal point for sharing his boundless love for animals, a love which was returned by Mitzi.
Jacob shared an unusually close relationship with his brother Nickolas. The relationship was characterized by on almost total absence of arguments or animosity. The two brothers respected each other and got along extremely well.
Jacob was a kind and caring individual who had a remarkable ability to sense other’s feelings. He was sensitive to the feelings of others and often carried their burdens. Jacob’s ability to perceive the feelings of others gave him the ability to get along with almost everyone. He had many friends and his good nature and high moral standards made him an excellent role model for his peers.
He was deeply loved by his family and will be missed by all.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Monday, October 1, 2001, at the Idaho Falls LDS Parkwood Ward (395 - 2nd Street), with Bishop LaMont Hanson officiating. The family will meet with friends on Sunday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092. Phone: (208) 522-2751.
