Jacob Austin Brookover, 21, of Shelley (Woodville), Idaho, went back to his Heavenly home, Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center after suffering a seizure in his home Thursday evening that resulted in respiratory and cardiac arrest. Jacob was born June 17, 1996 to Darryl Lee and Helen "JoAnn" Isaacs Brookover, in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the youngest of five children. Darryl served in the Air Force and they were later transferred to the Mountain Home Air Force base. Darryl retired from USAF when Jacob was age nine. They then settled in Idaho Falls where the majority of Jacob’s family still resides. Jacob was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of seven and as a result Jacob was schooled at home. Jacob was extremely intelligent and did well managing his own schooling from a young age. Jacob had an incredible memory for the written word and this helped him to achieve his Associates Degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in administrative management. He then continued pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Accounting online through Excelsior College. Fortunately, Jacob met the love of his life at the young age of only nineteen years. Jacob and Kyra were sealed for time and all eternity August 27, 2016 in the Rexburg temple. They had a storybook marriage filled with laughter, light, and love. In November of 2017, they purchased an adorable home in the country, with land for animals to pursue their dreams of raising their family on a farm. Their first child is due this year, and Jacob was looking forward to the opportunity to be as amazing a father as he was a husband. Never has a man anticipated the arrival of his first child like Jacob did. Jacob was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and looked forward to raising his children with the same values. Jacob was very close to his family, and was loved dearly by each of them. He spent a great deal of time with his Grandma Mabel, who passed away the day before Jacob. His mother and father were a huge part of his everyday life, and his siblings were his best friends. The stories they share of the time they spent together will be told for many years to come. Jacob will be missed far more than words can express. The world was a much better place because of Jacob. Though he will never know his baby here on Earth, the baby will know everything there is to know about his father because of the love and memories his dear family will share every day. Jacob is survived by his wife, Kyra Shea Brookover, and his unborn baby, as well as his parents Darryl and JoAnn Brookover. He is also survived by his beloved siblings, Christopher (Brandy) Brookover, Steven (Jamie Johannsen) Brookover, and Jen (Jordan Hollaway) Brookover. Jacob had a special relationship with his nieces and nephews, Elissa, Amy, Emily, Elli, Conner, Ren and Jack. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Chris and Helen Isaacs, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Mabel and his Brother Matthew. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018, in the Idaho Falls LDS Village Park Building, 1345 Clarence Dr., Idaho Falls, ID 83402, with Bishop Scott Huntsman of the Woodville 2nd Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in New Sweden Cemetery.
