JOHN MADDOX
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Jackson Victor “John” Maddox, 79, of Idaho Falls, died June 22, 2007, at
Good Samaritan Nursing Center.
He was born July 10, 1927, in Mobile, Alabama, to Tollie David Maddox and Bessie Alice Gregory Maddox. He attended public schools in Alabama before enlisting in the U. S. Navy during World War II.
He was honorably discharged as an E9 Master Chief Electrician after serving for 20 years.
He resided in San Diego, California, for 20 years, where he worked for Pacific Bell before retiring to Irwin, Idaho.
He enjoyed reading, four-wheeling, anything mechanical, his time in Irwin and “dining” out with friends and family.

Daughter: Marilyn (Rob) Howell of Shelley, ID
Brother: Gene (Monika) Maddox of Erin, TN
Sister: Joyce Fontenot of Woodlands, TX
Care giver: Keysha Denning, Idaho Falls, ID
4 Grandchildren & 2 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Christy Maddox; and sister, Audie Wadsworth.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, Idaho Falls. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
