Jack Westergard

John Henry "Jack" Westergard Jr., 67, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away October 31, 2016, at Portneuf Medical Center.

Jack was born March 3, 1949, in Boise, Idaho, to John Henry Westergard and Alta Wakeman Westergard. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

On September 2, 1968, he married Irene Nelson. They had two daughters, Jennifer and Michelle, and divorced in 1972. Jack made his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he worked as a truck driver. He moved to Pocatello in 2011.

He was a member of the Idaho Falls Bowling Club. He enjoyed watching wrestling, spending time outdoors, and fishing. Jack loved animals, especially dogs.

Jack is survived by daughter, Jennifer Ann (Kevin) Eck of Sedro-Woolley, WA; daughter, Michelle (Mark Scott) Gilson of Pocatello, ID, 1 grandson, 4 granddaughters, 4 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Brendan.

The family will visit with friends from 3-5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home (273 North Ridge Avenue). Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery on Monday, November 7th.
