Jack Hays Parten

Jack Hays Parten, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 20, 2025, at his home. He was under the care of his family and Brio Home Health and Hospice.

Jack was born January 7, 1947, in Upland, California, to Lawrence Willis Parten and Norma Lee Jones. He grew up in Chino, California.

On November 9, 2008, he married Nanette Cecil Boutte in Hesperia, California. Jack and Nanette made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Jack worked as a Truck Driver.

He was a member of the Baptist Church. He loved playing the banjo, guitar and going to bluegrass concerts. He raised three sons, Jackie, Johnny and Jimmy Parten.

Jack is survived by his wife, Nanette Cecil Parten of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jackie (Lola) Parten of Hesperia, CA; son, Johnny Parten; and son, Jimmy Parten.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Willis Parten, mother, Norma Lee Parten and seven siblings.

Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 2245 Cromwell Lane, in Blackfoot.
