JACK F. PARKER IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Jack Frost Parker, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 17, 2006, at his home. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice. He was born September 6, 1928, in Hall Shaft, Pennsylvania, to Glenn D. Parker and Dorothy Edith Frost Parker. He grew up and attended schools in Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Stoneboro High School. He served as a Specialist First Class in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He married Madalyn Fisher Jones in 1952 and they were later divorced. He lived in Jackson Center, Pennsylvania, where he worked as an operating engineer for Foster Grading and Tri State Asphalt, through Engineers Local 66. He also owned and operated a tavern called Jack's Place in Jackson Center for 17 years. He married M. Joy Romanko May 10, 1980, in East Liverpool, Ohio. After their marriage they moved to Idaho Falls. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Ohio and the Eagles Lodge and American Legion in Idaho Falls. He enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with his family and friends, yard work, gardening, cooking, and working at the rest area on Clark Hill for the last two summers. Jack had an especially close relationship with his grandson, Zack (Michelle) Parker of Idaho Falls. Survivors include: Wife: M. Joy Parker, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Jack F. (Carol) Parker, Idaho Falls, ID 1 Grandson He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006, at the Idaho Falls Eagles Lodge, 635 Hemmert Drive, with lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Aspen Home Health & Hospice, 3470 Washington Parkway, Idaho Falls, ID 83404 or the Eagles Lodge Charity Fund, 635 Hemmert Drive, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
