JACK OSBORNE IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Jack Osborne, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 12, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born February 8, 1934, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Andrew Jackson Osborne and Mildred Johnson Osborne. He grew up and attended schools in Pocatello. He served as a Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. On August 3, 1956, he married Carol Renee Bohney in Pocatello, Idaho. He was a journeyman sheet metal worker and senior engineer at Lockheed. He was awarded second place as a National Sheet Metal Worker Apprentice. He invented and designed the Sunburst freestanding fireplace. He taught sheet metal layout at ISU Vo-Tech in Pocatello and at EITC in Idaho Falls. Jack enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, waterskiing, boating, fly-tying, and spending summers at Palisades. He also enjoyed inventing, doing cabinetry and could build or fix anything. He especially loved his family and extended family and spending time with all of them. Jack was a great father, and loved his daughters, grandkids, and two “adopted sons,” Albert the cat and Scooter, his dog. He was quick witted and had a wonderful sense of humor. Survivors include: Wife: Carol Osborne, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Renae Osborne, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Tina (Jeff Foster) Osborne, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Gail (Willie) Hernandez, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Henry Osborne, Las Vegas, NV Sister: Jean (John) Bowen, Downy, ID Sister: Devon (Ike) Orgill, McCammon, ID Half Sister: Lynna Rae Bolen, Boise, ID Half Sister: Joyce (Mike) Chuppa, Twin Falls, ID Half Sister: Millie Deck, Clarkston, WA Grandchildren: Leticia ( Justin) Ahern, Felina (Marcos) Escobar, Joe (Melanie) Torrez, Melina Torrez, Amy Torrez, Ana Vizcarra, Marty Vizcarra; Great Grandchildren: Jayda Escobar, Koby Joe Torrez, Alex Escobar, Jaden Ahern, and Jack Torrez; three stepsisters and one stepbrother. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Corrine and Evangeline (Bunny); and a brother, Arthur. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, with Clint Bohney officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed following the services by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and the Idaho Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Jack Osborne Memorial Fund for Parkinson’s Research, c/o Idaho Central Credit Union, P.O.
