He plowed snow in Teton National Park, worked at Harry Taylor construction, and sold insurance for Great Plains Life before purchasing Hussmith Insurance Agency, and finally purchasing a storage business and forming May Moving and Storage. Jack met Carol Ann Flack in Casper, Wyoming, and they were married August 12, 1968, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Two children would come to this union. Jack and Carol lived 46 years in their home in Jackson before moving to Idaho Falls in 2014. Jack loved music.
