JACK HARRIS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Jack Matkin Harris, 56, of Idaho Falls, died June 2, 2005, at his home. He was under care of Aspen Hospice. He was born June 30, 1948, in Preston, Idaho, to Vard Guy Harris and Leota Matkin Harris. He grew up in Southeast Idaho and attended Thatcher Elementary and Grace High School. He married Bonnie Marie Weaver in March of 1976 in Elko, Nevada. They are the parents of two children. Jack had two children from a previous marriage. He has worked as a carpenter and general contractor, and was co-owner, with Sue Wright, of Stagecoach Enterprises in Idaho Falls. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed growing dahlias, loved spending time with his family, and talking on the phone with his granddaughter, Sarina, who was the highlight of his life. Surviving are: Wife: Bonnie Harris, Idaho Falls Daughter: Reta Scholl, Lovelock, NV Son: Jack M. (Michele)Harris, Bremerton, WA Son: Cortney W. Harris, Idaho Falls Father: Vard Guy Harris, Idaho Falls Brother: George Vard (Diana)Harris, Soda Springs, ID Brother: Art (Joni)Harris, Wamsutter, WY Sister: Julia (Erv) Southwick, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Jill (Bill) Ellibee, Belton, MO 3 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, and a son, Matt Peterbourg. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday for one hour prior to services, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
