JACK A. EMMERSON IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Jack Arthur Emmerson, 86, of Idaho Falls, died October 23, 2007, at his home. He was under the care of Aspen Hospice. He was born November 9, 1920 in Everson, Washington, to Arthur N. Emmerson and Maybelle Tucker Emmerson. He attended local schools and graduated from Everson High School before pursuing a career as a sheet metal worker. He married Faye Stubbs who later passed away. Together they had three sons, Jerry (deceased), John, and Jay; and one daughter, Patricia. He married Ethel Henderson Hemperly in June of 1976 in Idaho Falls and became father to four stepsons, John, Joel “Scott”, Nathan, and Richard. He was an active Jehovah's Witness. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and taking home video of wild life. He was very much loved and will be sorely missed. Survivors include: Wife: Ethel Emmerson, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Patricia (Logan) Rathbun, Blackfoot, ID Son: John Emmerson, Blackfoot, ID Son: Jay Emmerson, Idaho Falls, ID Son: John (Nancy) Hemperly, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Joel “Scott” (Bernie) Hemperly, Pocatello, ID Son: Nathan (Marilyn) Hemperly, Pocatello, ID Son: Rick (Judy) Hemperly, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Kenneth (Betty) Emmerson, Mercer Island, WA 13 Grandchildren & 17 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Jerry. Funeral Services will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (1480 Jefferson Avenue) with Rande Oksendal officiating.
