John Henry "Jack" Clark, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 5, 2017, at MorningStar Senior Living Center. He was under the loving care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice and the staff at MorningStar.
Jack was born June 13, 1934, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Hayden Clark and Olga Olson Clark. He grew up and attended schools in St. Paul and graduated from Washington High School in Brainerd, Minnesota. He also attended the University of Minnesota where he earned his bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering in 1957.
On December 29, 1956, he married Janet Carole Clark in St. Paul. To this union were born three sons, Brian, Steve and Greg. Jack and Jan made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Jack worked as an engineer for the Idaho National Laboratory.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, golf, and reading.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jan Clark of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Brian (Connie) Clark of Nampa, ID; son, Steve Clark of Salt Lake City, UT; son, Greg (Jill) Clark of Bellevue, ID; six grandchildren, Kendra, Brandon, Christopher, Kyle, Ryan, and Courtney, and one great granddaughter, Illyana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Charles Clark.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery, 4602 South Yellowstone Highway, with Reverend Dr. Phillip Hagen officiating. The family will visit with friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, prior to services at the cemetery.
