Ivy Elaine Woods

Ivy Elaine Woods, 70, peacefully passed away September 14th, 2025, in Idaho Falls. She was born and raised in the 14th Ward in Idaho Falls as a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her warmth, kindness, and quiet strength touched many lives.

She was the daughter of Klar F. Jorgensen and Betty May Greenhalgh Jorgensen, the fourth child of eight. She attended local schools and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1973, where she formed lifelong friendships.

Ivy met the love of her life, Kent Charles Woods, in high school and to the consternation of her parents she eloped to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, on June 24, 1974. A decision she said she never regretted, and she remained a devoted wife for the rest of her life.

In more recent years, Ivy worked at Melaleuca in Idaho Falls as a customer service representative.

Ivy found great joy in the many friendships she had developed over her lifetime as well as caring for Kent's mother and her two precious dogs, Bella and Pepe'. She was especially close to her older sister Connie, speaking nearly every day on the phone together.

Her hobbies included temple work, diamond painting, crocheting, sewing, camping, and fishing with Kent.

Ivy is survived by her husband, Kent; siblings, Harry (Brenda) Jorgensen of Coeur d'Alene, ID, Connie Watkins of Palm City, FL, Harold (Polly) Jorgensen of Blackfoot, ID, Rex (Anna) Jorgensen of Idaho Falls, ID, Patty (Clair) Zenk of Shelly, ID, and Ricky (Paula) Jorgensen of Boise, ID.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Klar and Betty Jorgensen and her sister, Judy Price.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the Riverview Ward Chapel, 3370 N. 5th W., Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends Monday, September 22, 2025, from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Tuesday at the church from 10 -10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Iona Cemetery.
