Ivy Frandsen - 03/10/2002 Ivy Frandsen - 03/10/2002 IVY L. FRANDSEN Ivy Lavender Field Frandsen, 88, of Iona, died March 9, 2002, at her home. She was born March 20, 1913 at Ammon to John Joseph Field and Marie Elizabeth Rushton Field. She attended schools in Ammon, graduating from Ammon High School. She married Melvin C. Frandsen on September 18, 1934 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She worked side by side with her husband on the farm for 67 years. She also worked as Ward Clerk at the LDS Hospital, a salesperson at a fabric store, and at Uniform & Queen Fashion. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint serving twice as Relief Society President. She also held positions in the Primary and MIA organizations. She was actively involved in genealogy work and was a temple worker. She enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, reading, and embroidery work. Surviving are:Husband: Mel Frandsen, Iona, IDDaughter: Karen (Jack) Jenkins, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Keith Frandsen, Mecury, NVDaughter: Annette Torres, Ucon, IDSon: Richard (Linda) Frandsen, Rexburg, IDSon: Waldon (Karen) Frandsen, Idaho Falls, ID 18 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Barbara Frandsen and Joyce Moon, 3 brothers, and 9 sisters. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at the Iona LDS 5th Ward (Iona Rd. and Ririe Hwy.), with Bishop Mike Long officiating. The family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Iona Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
