Biography

Isela Huerta Carranza, 17, of Idaho Falls, passed away on March 9, 2014, at the Davis Hospital and Medical Center in Layton, Utah from complications to Type I Diabetes which she had since she was 5 years old. She was born November 5, 1996, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Rosario Huerta and Adriana R. Carranza. She was raised by her Dad, Miguel Delaluz, who loved her as his own. He lovingly called her “Daddy’s Little Girl.” She grew up in the area and attended Lindon Park Elementary, Dora Erickson Elementary, Rocky Mountain Middle School, and Bonneville High School. At the time of her death, she was a student at the Clearfield Job Corp seeking a degree in nursing. Isela was a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed dancing and especially loved spending time with her family. She adored her little brother and was a nurturer, always putting others first. She was loved by all and will be sorely missed. She is survived by her parents, Miguel and Adriana Delaluz of Idaho Falls, ID; siblings, Crystal Carranza, Miguel A. Delaluz, Francisco J. Delaluz, and Adrian A. Delaluz, all of Idaho Falls, ID; grandparents: Rosalia & Alfonso Carranza and Sofia & Raymundo Delaluz; aunts and uncles, Angelica Carranza, Maribel (Mario) Estrada, Jose A. (Liz) Carranza, Luis F. Carranza, Andrea (Vicente) Delaluz; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Jaime Carranza. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (corner of 9th and Lee) with Father Raul Covarrubias officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon) with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
