ISABEL WICKHAM
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Isabel Matilda Ervine Wickham passed away June 19, 2005, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes.
She was born July 17, 1913, on a farm east of Rippey, Iowa, to Jesse Archibald Ervine and Rosa Marie Feith Ervine. She grew up and attended schools in Rippey, then passed the teaching exam when she was 18. In 1931, she entered Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and graduated with a BA Degree in Primary Education.
Isabel met her husband, LeRoy Wickham, and they married June 7, 1946, in Spokane, Washington. Their son, Keith, was born in 1947, and in the summer of 1950 they moved to Idaho Falls. Isabel taught first grade at Emerson School for two years and then transferred to Linden Park School. She taught eight years at Linden Park and then transferred to Theresa Bunker School when it was built. She taught school for 35 years. Roy and Isabel became guardians of Roger, Ron, and Barbara Cochran when their father died in 1965. Roy retired in 1972 and Isabel retired in 1975.
She was a member of the Methodist Church. For many years Isabel did volunteer work for the Idaho Falls Teachers Credit Union. She was also active in the Retired Teachers Organization. Isabel’s favorite hobbies were sewing and doll making.

Daughter: Barbara (Lou) Bonini of Billings, MT
three sisters, Marjorie, Jennie, and Geneva,
4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy, and six siblings.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2005, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, with the Reverend Thom Larson of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be next to her husband, Roy, in Rose Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
