IRMA CHRISTENSEN
IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO: Irma Robinson Christensen, 97, of Idaho Falls, ID, died January 15, 2003, at Idaho Falls Care Center.
She was born April 8, 1905, at San Francisco, California, to Jedediah Robinson and Charlotte Shelley Robinson. Her grandfather, John F. Shelley, was a local pioneer and the city of Shelley is named after him. When she was young the family returned to Shelley and she grew up and attended schools there, graduating from Shelley High School.
She married Leo George Christensen August 14, 1926, at Shelley. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where she was a homemaker and mother. Leo passed away December 30, 1964.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served as a Relief Society teacher. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, traveling around the world, bridge playing, and her rose garden. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend; some of her most cherished hours were spent with her grandchildren, David Christensen of Blackfoot and Kristi Jensen and Cindy Christensen of Phoenix.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS Home Ranch Ward, 3195 South Holmes Avenue, with Bishop Jim Burgoyne officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, ID 83402-4092
