Irene Henderson - 04/23/2003 Irene Henderson - 04/23/2003 IRENE HENDERSON IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Irene Medberry Winkle Henderson, 86, of Idaho Falls, died April 17, 2003, at her home. She was born June 7, 1916 at Columbus, Montana to Roy E. Medberry and Margaret Knight Medberry. At an early age, she moved with her parents from Montana to Craig, Colorado where she grew up and attended schools. Later, she moved to Denver, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Las Vegas, Nevada where she lived from November of 1941 to July of 1959. She then moved to Montana and North Dakota for a short time then settled in Idaho Falls for the remainder of her life. She worked as a cook in cafes in Colorado, Nevada, Montana, N. Dakota, and Idaho. She also worked in spud houses in Idaho Falls from 1964 to 1978. Irene liked to read, play pinochle, fish and travel. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2003, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N.
