Irene Bertha Benson Blair, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 25, 2017, at her home. She was under the care of Alliance Hospice.
Irene was born June 2, 1941, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Herman "Willis" Benson and Amiliea May Simpson Benson. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. She also lived in Twin Falls and Boise before settling in Idaho Falls until her death.
She married Henry "Bill" Dodds. Irene and Bill were later divorced. Irene married Kenneth "Ken" Blair and they made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Irene worked as a spud sorter.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crochet, cross stitch, crossword puzzles, spending time with her grandkids, and taking pictures.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Roxie (Dale) Smith of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Lanny Dodds of Boise, ID; daughter, Cammie Aguilera of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kenna (Mark) McCall of NC; adopted daughter, Laurie Myers of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Mildred Derka of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Clarence "Benny" Benson of Idaho Falls, ID; 22 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth "Ken" Blair, sisters, Roena Sanchez, Wilma Marsette, Beverly Benson, Columbine Benson; grandsons, David and JB; granddaughters, Marnie, Brittany, and Jessica; great-granddaughter, Karbina "Ann"; and great-grandson, Corey.
