CATHEDRAL CITY, CA -- A good friend of many in Cathedral City, Calif., Virginia City, Nev., and Idaho Falls, passed away after a sudden cerebral vascular accident at Eisenhower Regional Medical Center on October 31st, 2008.
He was born to Ira Lindsay and Evron Lindsay in Rigby, Idaho on April 20, 1946. He attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduating from Idaho Falls High School class of 1965. He served in the U.S. Army as specialist five during the Vietnam War.
In 1971, after his honorable service, he married Marilyn Mueller of Norwalk, Calif., and had two children, Shawn Lindsay of Caldwell and Kurtis Lindsay of Virginia City, Nev.
Ira Lynn Lindsay started his career as a food service manager and soon became a business owner. Since 1985, he lived in Virginia City, Nev., and leaves his business Redsʼ Old Fashioned Candies to his son Kurtis Lindsay. Lynn enjoyed working the summer months with Kurtis and was looking forward to retirement in Cathedral City within the next two years. He loved his winter home in Cathedral City, Calif., and enjoyed the friendships he made within the community. He treasured his time in Cathedral City over the last 15 years and the friendships that he held close.
Lynn was known for being a hard worker despite that fact that he struggled with painful arthritis and gout. He would work months without time off in order to make his businesses successful. He would also enjoy a quiet evening by the pool, when he finally found the time to relax, and cooking in order to spend time with friends and family.
He is survived by his two sons Shawn (Amy) Lindsay, Kurtis (Summer) Lindsay; and five grandchildren: Ayden, Theron, Christian, Ira, and Hannah; as well as, his brother Douglas Lindsay, sisters Caroll Walker, Janet Croley, Coleen Scheid, Nell Philips, Jean Mason, and
Joan Peterson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Kurtis Lindsay. Lynnʼs family and friends miss him dearly and pray for his safe return to our Lord Jesus Christ. Lynnʼs generosity and commitment to his family and friends will be missed.

We were sad to read about your brother. I guess we never knew there were boys in your family . . . we didn’t know Lynn at all, but knowing all of you sweet ladies . . . we know he must have been just as sweet as all of you and your parents. Please know we care and express our sympathy and love at this tender time.
