IONE A. RAYMOND
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Ione Amanda Smith Raymond, 94, formerly
of Logan, Utah, died October 12, 2004, at the home of her son in Idaho
Falls. She was under the care of Idaho Home Health and Hospice.
She was born April 10, 1910, at Logan, Utah, to Fredrick
Smith and Amanda Nellie Munk Smith. She attended Benson Elementary, Logan
Jr. High, and graduated from Logan High School. Following graduation,
she attended Utah State Agriculture College.
On December 2, 1931, she married Shele Hillyard Raymond
in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a wife, mother and homemaker. She also
worked as a telephone operator. She was a member of the Daughters of the
Utah Pioneers.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, she served as a Primary Teacher and Counselor, a MIA
Teacher for 18 years, a Relief Society Teacher, Quilt Chairman and as
a Visiting Teacher. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and going to lunch,
movies or shopping with family and friends. She was a devoted mother,
grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and loved spending
time with her family.

Daughter: DeeAnn (John) Phillips, Boca Grande, FL
Daughter: Faye (Dell) Tuttle, Lehi, UT
Sister: Venice Larsen, Logan, UT
11 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shele; three brothers, Edwin,
Aaron, and Adrian Smith; two sisters, Blodwin Sorensen and Kenna Burgeson;
and two grandsons, Randy and Robert Raymond.
Funeral Services will be at 1: 00 p.m Saturday, October
16, 2004, at the Willow Valley LDS Ward, 825 North 200 West) in Logan,
Utah with Bishop Roy Speth officiating. The family will visit with friends
for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Logan Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
