INEZ ABBOTT
ROY, UTAH -- Inez Elizabeth Founds Abbott, 96, of Idaho
Falls, passed away November 29, 2004, at Heritage Park Care Center in
Roy, Utah, of causes incident to age.
She was born August 30, 1908, in Rock Springs, Wyoming,
to Maxwell Founds and Bertha May Grigsby Founds. When she was a toddler
the family moved to Shelley, where she grew up and attended schools, graduating
from Shelley High School.
She married Ronald Perry Abbott November 12, 1927, in
Basalt, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS
Temple. She was a homemaker all her life. Ronald passed away October 31,
1985.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, she served in various capacities over the years and especially
loved serving in the Young Women’s Program. She enjoyed handwork,
making quilts and afghans for family members, and loved sharing her homemade
bread and candy with family and friends. Inez loved being around people
and doted on her grandchildren, Paula, Douglas and Annette Weick, Pamela
Campbell, and Dana, Chuck, Slade, and Derick Abbott.
Surviving are:
Daughter: Dawn (Henry) Weick, Boise, ID
8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, a son, Duane, and two
grandchildren, Diana Weick and Michael Abbott.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday,
December 4, 2004, at the Idaho Falls LDS Mountain View Ward, 1450 Mountain
View Lane, with Bishop Kerry Holmgren officiating.
The family will visit with friends Friday from 7 to 8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, Idaho Falls, and Saturday for
one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery under
the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
