INES F. SCHULTZ IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Ines Fawn Hunter Schultz, 88, passed away at her home on August 22, 2004 o f illness incident to a stroke. She was born on March 4, 1916, in Heman, Idaho, to William Leslie Hunter and Margaret Elizabeth Jenkins Hunter. She attended elementary and middle school in St. Anthony and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She later attended Brigham Young University and worked during that time at the BYU Bookstore. For many years, she worked in Idaho Falls as an executive secretary, at the Teton Peaks Council of the Boy Scouts of America and for 13 years for the president of the American National Bank. She married Dean W. Schultz on December 7, 1946, in Idaho Falls. Their union was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. The couple had two sons, and she was completely dedicated to her husband and children. She was an exemplary wife and mother, and later, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was active in community activities in the Idaho Falls area, including serving several years on the Idaho Falls Symphony Board, being a member and president of the Idaho Falls Music Club, chairperson for the Bonneville County Heart Fund Drive, and president with her husband of the Linden Park Elementary School PTA. She was a lifelong active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many leadership and teaching positions in the Relief Society, Primary, and other auxiliary organizations, as well as being an ordinance worker in the Idaho Falls Temple. She inspired others to be better people and had a way of making them believe they could accomplish more than they otherwise thought the could. Often saying that low aim is worse than failure, she insisted on perfection in herself and others. Her life was characterized by an abiding faith in God. She was generous with her time and talents and loved to serve others. She always had a kind word for all and looked for the best in people and things. She was known among her family and friends for her exceptional skills in writing, teaching, and organizational management. She was often asked to prepare talks or write life histories for her relatives. She also delighted others (especially her children and grandchildren) with her spellbinding real-life stories and delicious desserts. She loved nice things, and her home was a place of peace, love, and beauty to all who spent time there. Many of her children’s friends still consider her their “second mother” because of the positive influence she had on them while growing up. She enjoyed many memorable vacations with her family and traveled extensively throughout the United States - visiting sites and attractions, spending time with relatives, and supporting her husband in his responsibilities with the Utah-Idaho District of Kiwanis. Surviving are her husband of nearly 58 years, Dean, two sons, Dean R. (Kathy) Schultz, Mission Viejo, CA, Stuart H. (Christine) Schultz, Bountiful, UT, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and sisters, Elna (Don) Leymaster of Idaho Falls and Phyllis (Charles) Goldthorpe, of Tustin, California.
